About North Valley Real Estate

North Valley is a surprising oasis in a desert city characterized by tall cottonwood trees, lush green fields, and the Rio Grande. While historically associated with ranching and farming, this vibrant community is becoming a popular destination for families and young professionals looking to live in the country but still enjoy the conveniences of city life.

Most Albuquerque locals associate North Valley with agriculture and farming, which is evident in the various farmer's markets in the area. This area is also home to several wineries, including Milagro and Casa Rondena. Some restaurants in North Valley grow most of their ingredients, and many historic or organic farms provide fun activities such as farm tours and educational workshops.

North Valley's real estate options include apartments and ranch-style homes, making it an excellent place for families and young professionals to call home.

Local Lifestyle

North Valley is an excellent place for people who want a slower-paced lifestyle with all the conveniences of a modern city. It's not uncommon to see residents riding horses down the streets. Properties tend to be more significant and historic, with many people maintaining extensive gardens and keeping hobby livestock. Many homes are in traditional Southwestern styles, with plenty of stucco and adobe. You can choose from various styles ranging from single-family homes to large mansions.

There’s always something to do in the North Valley, and residents are never bored. The weekly farmer's markets, Native American dances and demonstrations, bird watching, and crafts shows are popular among residents and tourists. Other favorite activities for locals include horseback riding, mountain climbing, hiking, biking, or riding the Bosque Trails. With all these activities at your fingertips, you couldn't ask for a better place to call home than North Valley.

Dining, Entertainment, and Shopping

Many residents love the antique shopping opportunities in North Valley's antique shops. The premier Antique Mall is located in beautiful Los Ranchos. Established in 2006, it offers a variety of high-end antique furniture, fine jewelry, and vintage items. The farm shop also provides the perfect furniture and décor items to transform your home into a chic farmhouse.

Thanks to the regularly scheduled farmer's markets and restaurants in North Valley, good eats are always available. Dine at family-owned El Pinto Restaurant, which is famous for their stuffed sopapillas, grass-fed green chile queso burger, and famous red chile ribs.

Los Poblanos is a historic inn and organic farm that uses farm-fresh ingredients. Reserve a spot and try their crispy pork memela, sweet potato pierogi, or braised lamb birria. Alternatively, head to Farm & Table for regionally-inspired cuisine made from local and seasonal ingredients served amid Southwestern décor.
